IL-18: Aaron Schock Grows Third Foot, Puts All Three Feet in Mouth

Where do you even begin with shit like this?

“If ever there was an election with consequences, this presidential election is a case in point,” Schock said while speaking at the fair’s Director’s Lawn at the Republican Day rally.

“The last time we had this level of socialism being proposed and inexperience at the helm was Jimmy Carter,” said Schock (who was born four months after Democrat Carter left office in 1981).

Words fail.

  1. “He has said he wants to mandate free college tuition for every student in America.

I would love to see where Obama said that.

“Unlike TED KENNEDY (he meant JACK KENNEDY, of course) who said, don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country … he (Obama) says, we’re the wealthiest country in the world; you should get this, you should get that. You’re entitled to this, you’re entitled to that. To me, that’s a move toward socialism.”

Does this guy have the historical knowledge of an elementary school child?

The select quotes above and in the diary don’t do justice to how much of a complete tool and fool Aaron Schock is.  Please read it.

  2. …is Aaron Schock talking about “inexperience” and comparing Obama to the “socialist” (?!) Jimmy Carter, when Schock wasn’t even BORN yet during Carter’s term.

  3. Jimmy Carter was hardly a socialist.  He was the most moderate (read “conservative”) Democratic President since Grover Cleveland.  Then again, Schock would probably have no idea who Grover Cleveland was.

Carter’s level of experience was certainly more than that of George W. Bush.

Schock is the youngest candidate for Congress in the country and has no real world experience outside the cocoon of GOP politics.  His opponent, Colleen Callahan, otoh, has 30 years of real world experience.  This just points it out.

Did Schock take remedial level courses in college or high school?  If not, he needs them.  Roman Hruska returns.

  4. That comment was very very stupid. In light of all of this, I hope Callahan can get a bounce in support and win on Election Day.
